The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl Anime Adds Nozomi Yamamoto, Kyoka Moriya to Voice Cast

The official website for the upcoming spring 2025 TV anime The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl has announced two additional voice cast members — Nozomi Yamamoto (Rika Jogasaki in THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS ) as Carissa, a classmate of the protagonist, Sofia, and Kyoka Moriya (Shiho Kano in CUE! ) as Arene, another classmate of Sofia. The site describes Carissa as: "She is the daughter of an influential aristocrat and has a high-handed personality. Because she admires Louis, she does not like Sofia who is close to him." The site describes Arene as: "Sofia's classmate. She is the daughter of an aristocrat and has a kind personality. She is very shy and is not good at taking action on her own." Additionally, the site also announced a collaboration campaign with the Japanese curry restaurant chain "Go! Go! Curry." The original menu “Blessings to You Too: Gorilla God Face Curry”, created by Kanna Nakamura, who plays the protagonist Sofia Reeler, will be served at the participating five stores from April 1 to 30. Those who order the original menu will receive, a special clear file featuring a newly-drawn illustration. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan for members w orldwide excluding Japan and China. Fumitoshi Oizaki ( Chillin’ in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army ) directs the anime at studio Kachigarasu, with series composition by Hitomi Amemiya ( A Condition Called Love ), character designs by Sakae Shibuya ( Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness ) and music by Seima Iwahashi ( Quality Assurance in Another World ). Yayoi Tateishi serves as sound director and diomedéa provides production assistance. The story is set in a world where 16-year-olds receive blessings from various animal gods. Sophia, the timid daughter of a noble, received the blessing from the "Gorilla God,” giving her the ability to lift over 500 kgs.
