Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 12 Recap, “True Strength”

Seriously, major spoilers ahead! So You’ve Been Eaten by a Kraken During his battle with Tamagami Number Two in the Second Demon World, Vegeta was knocked into the mouth of a large Kraken. The Kraken quickly comes back for seconds and just narrowly misses snacking on Goku. However, Goku soon finds that Vegeta wasn’t actually devoured — he’s grabbed onto one of the Kraken’s tentacles. RELATED: Dragon Ball Quiz: Are You a Dragon Ball Expert? Vegeta is finding it hard being so little again as it’s made him far less capable than usual. He quickly goes Super Saiyan in order to evade the Kraken and fight the Tamagami at the same time. The Kraken soon leaves after being bored with its failed stab at dinner, leaving Vegeta and the Tamagami to duel. Now Vegeta, renewed with energy, lands some great hits on his opponent, including a fierce headbutt. Renewed energy is not what we find in Majin Duu’s battle with Tamagami Number One, though. Duu seems to be winning thanks to his bizarre, bouncing abilities, but then he abruptly sits and refuses to fight anymore unless he gets some chocolate. Arinsu berating him only leads to Duu throwing a tantrum. Power-Up Neva, knowing that Saiyans like Vegeta enjoy combat, gives Tamagami Number Two a magical boost, evening the odds and sending Vegeta on the defensive. Their battle soon heads underwater as Vegeta tries to evade attacks and unsuccessfully tosses out a few of his own. Meanwhile, Majin Duu runs around, doing his slippery best to dodge Tamagami Number One. But when Majin Kuu tosses him some chocolate, Duu instantly regains his composure and blasts Tamagami Number One with a massive ball of green energy. RELATED: Dragon Ball Watch Order & Sagas List Gomah is stunned to find that Arinsu is the one who seems to have unleashed the new Majin on the Tamagami, and is possibly even more stunned to see that after a barrage of fierce moves, Majin Duu has defeated Tamagami Number One! However, there is still one last challenge to complete. Before they can claim the Dragon Ball, Majin Duu must perform “mental arithmetic.” Majin Duu has to add numbers together and give an answer, something he doesn’t seem all too equipped for, seeing that he’s mostly just eaten chocolate and beaten-up stuff so far. However, no one notices that Majin Kuu whispers the correct answer to him and so Majin Duu wins the Dragon Ball for Arinsu. Gomah and Degesu are in shock and they return to watching Vegeta fight Tamagami Number Two, hoping at least that particular Dragon Ball is still safe. SUPER SAIYAN 3 VEGETA IS REAL!!! Vegeta is blasted underwater, but before Tamagami Number Two can leave him to drown, Vegeta goes Super Saiyan 3! Goku is shocked by this, but Bulma says that Vegeta has been doing a lot of training by himself. With his arms crossed and only using his kicks, Vegeta proceeds to dominate the rest of the fight. Then with one last energy blast and a few punches, Vegeta forces Tamagami Number 2 to surrender. RELATED: A Guide to All Dragon Ball Saiyan Transformations, In Order Vegeta transforms back to normal and faces the final challenge. Here, the Tamagami tells Vegeta a mathematical story about a Majin and his biscuits, one illustrated with childlike drawings. At the end of the story, Vegeta must tell how many biscuits a character ate. Vegeta gets so annoyed during the story that he actually goes Super Saiyan, all while Goku tries and fails to count the number on his fingers. Vegeta gives the correct response and so he wins the next Dragon Ball! The Tamagami apologizes to Neva for losing the battle, but Neva reassures him that it’s alright. Goku offers Vegeta a Heal Bug, but Vegeta tells him that he’s too refined to be eating insects. Now it’s time to head to the First Demon World, something Gomah is VERY displeased about.
