 Resident Evil Director Paul W.S. Anderson to Helm The House of the Dead Movie
SEGA's The House of the Dead arcade games have had their time on the silver screen in the past, specifically with director Uwe Boll's 2003 effort. Now it's time to take another shot with the announcement that SEGA has tapped Resident Evil film series architect Paul W.S. Anderson to bring the games back to cinemas in a new motion picture project. Anderson will write and direct The House of the Dead , and will also produce alongside producing partner Jeremy Bolt. Story Kitchen's Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg and Dan Jevons are producing, as well, and on SEGA's end Toru Nakahara is on board as producer. Timothy I. Stevenson is an executive producer on the project.  In the video game adaptation space, Paul W.S. Anderson is known for more than just Resident Evil . He also directed 2020's Monster Hunter and the cult classic movie adaptation of Mortal Kombat .
