Live-Action Voltron Movie Reveals 3 More Cast Members
Work is still underway on Amazon MGM Studios' live-action Voltron movie, and the latest update has three more cast members getting in on the adaptation. While further details are light, we now know that Sterling K. Brown ( Black Panther , The Predator ) is joining the cast alongside Rita Ora ( Pokémon: Detective Pikachu ) and John Kim ( The Little Things ). RELATED: Amazon Close To Picking Up Voltron Live-Action Film Based on classic localized '80s staple Voltron: Defender of the Universe —which itself started as Toei Animation's Beast King GoLion anime in 1981—the live-action Voltron also stars Henry Cavill and Daniel Quinn-Toye. Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing, based on a script Thurber wrote with Ellen Shanman.  In a VoltCon video message, Thurber added that they are "going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots" in the film, and have "reimagined Voltron for the live-action world" while staying true to the "iconic elements that you love."  Stay tuned for more on this one as further details are divulged.  Source: Deadline
