Japan Box Office: Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK Compilation Film Makes No.1 Debut
Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK , a compilation film of the two-part Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS anime episodes, opened in 148 theaters across Japan on November 8. The movie, directed by series director Yuichiro Hayashi, earned 249 million yen (1.63 million USD) on 175,000 admissions in its first three-day weekend, making its first-place debut in the weekend box office, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . Fuuto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shozo ("FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull"), a new feature film in the FUUTO PI anime series, released in 93 theaters on November 8 and ranked fifth in its opening weekend. Meanwhile, the film ranked No.1 in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 4.20/5.0 based on 207 reviews. A live-action film adaptation of Momoko Koda's ( No Longer Heroine ) romance shoujo manga series, Atashino! , released in 151 theaters on November 8, making its eighth-place debut. The film ranked #3 in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 4.13/5.0 based on 351 reviews. BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! Utau, Bokura ni Nareru Uta & FILM LIVE , the second of the two-part compilation film based on the BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! TV anime series, released in 78 theaters on November 8. As with the first part, which opened on September 27, the latest movie did not make its weekend box office top 10 debut. After staying in first place for seven consecutive weekends, Given The Movie: Umi e , the final installment of the given anime series, disappeared from Kogyo Tsushinsha's mini-theater ranking in its eighth weekend. This is likely due to the fact the film is no longer categorized as a small-scale release, as the significant number of theaters were added since last Friday. The film opened in 30 theaters on September 20, and thanks to the box office success, 46 more theaters have also started screening the film since November 8.
