The world of Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan novels is set to come alive in the anime adaptation of the popular book series. The Leviathan anime released its first teaser trailer today showcasing what Christophe Ferreira has been working on at anime studio Orange for a release on Netflix in 2025. In addition to music from Nobuko Toda ( Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 ) and Kazuma Jinnouchi ( Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4 ,  Halo 4 and 5 ), the series will also feature original songs by long-time Studio Ghibli collaborator Joe Hisaishi.  Netflix describes the adaptation as such: In 1914, on the eve of war, a fugitive prince and a girl in disguise meet aboard a bioengineered airship, the HMS Leviathan, and change the course of history.
