SPYAIR's HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle Anime Movie Theme Song Reaches 100 Million Streams
The official X (formerly Twitter) for Japanese rock band SPYAIR announced on July 3 that their latest song "Orange" had surpassed a milestone of 100 million streams on Billboard JAPAN charts. This is the first time in their 14-year career that they have accomplished this splendid feat. The rock tune was featured as the theme song for HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle , the first part of the Haikyu!! FINAL duology anime films. Since "Imagination," the opening theme for the TV anime first season in 2014, the band has provided the theme songs for the Haikyu!! anime franchise, including "I'm A Believer" (second season opening theme) and "One Day" ( HAIKYU!! TO THE TOP ending theme). "Orange" was included in the band's second EP of the same name released on February 14, 2024. Message from SPYAIR: "Orange" has surpassed 100 million streams! It's been 14 years since our debut, but this is the first time something like this has happened and we are filled with joy and surprise! We're grateful to the many people who have listened to our song! Thank you very much! "Orange" is also the theme song for 'HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle,' and since volleyball is a ball game of 'connection,' we scattered the lyrics of the 'Haikyu!!' songs we have been involved with in the song to connect them to the future. We also added the thought that we ourselves will connect the band. We will continue to do our best so that this wonderful record will lead to our future activities and music production, so please continue to support us!
