The 2014 manga series Sailor Zombie from Isshin Inudo and art by Jiji & Pinch got new editions today in Japan and alongside them was the announcement that an anime is in production. No other details on the anime adaptation were announced at this stage. RELATED: ZOMBIE LAND SAGA’s Franchouchou Voice Actors Cross Over to Zom 100 Anime Originally conceived as a TV drama, which aired 12 episodes from April 2014, featuring the girls of AKB48 from screenwriter Isshin Inudo, Sailor Zombie was adapted into a manga with art from Jiji & Pinch and serialized in Monthly Heroes , running from May 2014 to February 2016. The manga version deviated from the TV drama, becoming a series in its own right. Monthly Heroes describes Sailor Zombie on its English website as such : Two months have passed since zombies gained control of the world. High school student Maiko is wandering around by herself with no destination when she runs to a school where the survivors live together. She is helped by Mutsumi and Yuri, strong-willed girls the same age as Maiko. She thinks she’s finally found a safe place to live, but what happens next?
