Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie , a feature film from the Cardcaptor Sakura anime franchise based on CLAMP's magical girl-themed shojo manga series of the same name, originally released in Japan on August 21, 1999. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the 83-minute film's revival screening is planned to be held in theaters across Japan from August 9, 2024. A trailer for the revival screening is now streamed on EMOTION Label's official YouTube channel . This is the second revival screening for the film following the first one in January 2017 . CLOVER , a short film screened along with Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie during its original theatrical ran, was not screened in the first revival, but will be screened in the upcoming second revival. Poster visual for the revival screening Theatergoers for the first week (from August 9 to 15) will receive a B5 illustration card (two types at random) with illustrations by CLAMP as a bonus.
