Sunrise's official YouTube channel has started streaming a main trailer for SAND LAND: THE SERIES , a 13 episode series from the SAND LAND anime project bases on the late Akira Toriyama's manga series of the same name. The clip features the series' opening theme song "Water Carrier" performed by the five-member Japanese mixture rock band Kroi. The channel has also posted the anime series' creditless ending movie featuring the ending theme song "Drive My Idea" performed by the three-piece Japanese rock band Tempalay. Additionally, Disney Plus's official Japanese Twitter account has released a new key visual for the series. RELATED: SAND LAND TV Anime Version Starts March 20 With Seven Episode Premiere SAND LAND: THE SERIES will premiere with its first seven episodes on March 20 around the world on Disney Plus, then its eighth to 13th episodes will follow on March 27. The first "Akuma no Oji" ( Demon Prince ) arc, which is reconstructed with new scenes added to the SAND LAND film released theatrically in the summer of 2023, will be told in the series' first to sixth episodes, then the second "Tenshi no Yusha" ( Angelic Hero ) arc depicts the new adventures of Beelzebub and his friends in the Forest Land created by Akira Toriyama. The original SAND LAND anime film was directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima and Hiroshi Kojina at animation production houses Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga and ANIMA. The film released in Japan on August 18, 2023, opening at 6th place. VIZ Media released the original manga in English, describing it as such: In the far future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the supply of water is controlled by the greedy king. In search of a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao asked the king of the demons for help...and got the king's son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together the unlikely trio sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits and the deadliest foe of all... the King's army itself! It's travel adventure and tank action in this new story from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z!
