As part of Fuji TV's anime upfront presentation on Monday, March 11, Goku voice actor Masako Nozawa got on stage and, along with the crowd, performed the Turtle School graduate's signature move in memory of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama who passed away on March 1. Nozawa’s agency, Aoni Production, posted a video of Nozawa performing the Kamehameha on stage. The tweet quotes Nozawa as saying she will continue to “play the role with all her being.” On stage, Nozawa commented on the history of the franchise and how she still tries to keep spoilers to herself. “[Dragon Ball] is a work that always makes you excited to see what will happen next. I’m continuously happy to be playing the role, but that’s dangerous for me because I feel like I’m going to blurt out to people what is going to happen in the series, so I try not to talk to anyone about it,” Nozawa said on stage with a smile.
