Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote Anime Announces April 2024 Premiere, Opening Theme Artist

A TV anime adaptation of Ko Nigatsu's voice actor-themed light novel series Seiyu Radio no Ura Omote is set to premiere in Japan in April 2024, following an announcement on the anime's official website on February 14. Additionally, voice actor Miku Ito will perform the anime's opening theme song, "Now On Air." Along with Moe Toyota as Yuhi Yugure, Ito is cast as the other protagonist, Yasumi Utatane. The two members of the voice actor unit Pyxis played the two girl protagonists in the novel's PV, audiobooks and radio shows, and reprising their roles in the anime as well. Miku Ito "Now On Air" will release as Ito's 12th solo single on May 1, 2024. "I was very happy because I am involved with this series in various ways," Ito said. "I never thought that the day would come when I would sing as an artist in a series where I play the lead role...! It was the moment when one of my dreams came true. I was really fired up, both as an actor and an artist." Ito also shared a message for her fans: "This song makes us think that it is cool to shine and work hard, even if it is unsophisticated, toward the future. What you couldn't reach alone, you can acieve if you join hands with others. I sang this song with my feelings for the series and the future with you all. I hope you enjoy the song along with the anime." The anime also announced two additional voice cast members: Ikumi Hasegawa as Otome Sakuranamiki and Nao Toyama as Mekuru Yubisaki. Sakuranamiki is Yumiko Sato's reliable big sister-like figure and popular voice actor, while Yubisaki is another popular voice actor and senior at Yuhi Yugure's office. Yumiko Sato, who is working as a voice actress under the stage name Yasumi Utatane, is chosent to be a personality for a radio show. Her partner is another young voice actress, Yuhi Yugure, who is her classmate Chika Watanabe. The two have incompatible personalities, and they accost each other whenever they open their mouths. But as they work together in radio, anime and events and overcome their troubles, they become intensely aware of each other as rivals.
