Live-Action x Anime Hybrid Project Dragons of Wonderhatch Announces New Cast
On top of an adaptation, a reboot and two other original projects, Disney's big step into the realm of Japanese animation that was announced last November included a unique live-action anime hybrid title called Dragons of Wonderhatch. More about the project came out today with the reveal of two more cast members and characters, as follows (character romanizations unconfirmed):
Kenjiro Tsuda (Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband) as
Gyro
Shunsuke Takeuchi (Brawler in Akudama Drive) as
Gaffin
They join the previous announced main cast of Sena Nakajima, Daiken Okudaira and Mackenyu; the latter two of which also had designs for their animated characters revealed:

Akuta

Dragons of Wonderhatch is a live-action and animated "fantasy blockbuster" helmed by live-action Tokyo Ghoul director Kentaro Hagiwara, One Piece: Stampede's Takashi Ootsuka as animation director and The Promised Neverland mangaka Posuka Demizu as original character designer. Production I.G is in charge of animation production.
The project is currently scheduled to begin streaming on Disney+ sometime in Winter 2023.
