Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Fantasy Adventure Manga Gets Anime

Ahead of the release of the latest volume of the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga on September 15, it was revealed today that the Kanehito Yamada-written, Tsukasa Abe-illustrated fantasy adventure series would be getting an anime. A visual was released to celebrate the adaptation showing what Frieren looks like in her animated elven design.
The award-winning Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since April 28, 2020, with the ninth volume set to release in Japan on September 15. Viz Media releases the series in English, describing the first volume as such:
Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her comrades and finds herself beginning a new adventure…
No details such as format, staff, or release date for the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime have been confirmed at this stage.
