Otakon Welcomes My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Author, Producer and Kakeru VA
If you're a fan of the My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU series, this year's Otakon has a handful of guests that are right up your alley. In addition to original author Wataru Watari, the convention is welcoming anime producer Masazumi Kato and Kakeru Tobe voice actor Chado Horii as guests.
Check out the profiles for each below, and look for Otakon 2022 to be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC from July 29-31.
Wataru Watari
Watari is a light novel author from Chiba prefecture of Japan. He debuted as an author by winning the third Shogakkan Light Novel Gagaga Grand Prize with "Ayakashigatari."
He has authored a number of titles, including the "Qualidea Code" series and "Girlish Number," but his most well-known work as an author is the series "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected."
He has also worked on numerous other titles as script writers and in other roles, such as "Domestic Girlfriend," "GETUP! GETLIVE!," "The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent" series, and "Isekai Yakkyoku."
Masazumi Kato
Kato built his career at Media Factory, producing titles such as "The Sacred Blacksmith," "The Familiar of Zero" series, "Aria the Scarlet Ammo," "Soul Eater," and "Medaka Box."
Now with the Music and Video division of Marvelous Inc., he continues to succeed, working on titles such as "Sengoku Night Blood" and the recent hit series "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU."
Chado Horii
Horii is a voice actor from Mausu Promotion, born in Shizuoka, Japan. His main roles include Togo Sekiguchi from "Odd Taxi"; Ryuhei Nabeshima from "Ahiru no Sora"; and Kakeru Tobe from "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU."
