Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3

Kaguya, Miyuki, Ai and Yu have come a long way since the love battle began, and they'll have plenty to do in Season 3, too.

Season 3 will either resolve the love war one way or another.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War is a hit seinen anime series based on Aka Akasaka's manga of the same name, and so far, the Kaguya-Sama anime's two seasons have made it clear that the battle of wits between Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane will be a romantic but stubborn affair, and that should continue well into the upcoming Season 3.

Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3
The main characters- Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane both study at Shuichin Academy and are in student council and are determined to trick the other into making a love confession first. The main supporting cast is carefully neutral and sometimes doesn't even know what's happening. The love battle reached a fevered pitch in Season 2, and there are some unresolved storylines to continue in Season 3. But Goddamn Hayasaka is the best girl !! 💖

🍀What Kaguya's Characters Have Been Up To So Far:

Season 2 continued the bitter but playful love battle from Kaguya-Sama's first season, and Kaguya and Miyuki each faced new challenges not just from each other, but from the world around them, too. Miyuki ran once again for the position of student council president, facing the stern Miko Iino for the position, and he had to contend with Miko's stubborn personality and the sheer exhaustive strain of being student council at all. Miyuki showed true grit by willingly diving back into that world to keep the academy's student council running smoothly. Miyuki also faced difficulties with singing and sports once again, and Chika Fujiwara's patience was worn thin as Miyuki sang like a banshee. By the season's end, Miyuki was more confident with his role than ever, and he slightly strengthened his friendship with Yu Ishigami, too.

Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3

Kaguya Shinomiya's romantic feelings for Miyuki only grew during Season 2, and by the season's end, she had already visited a doctor out of concern that her lovestruck heart was in trouble. Eventually, she developed an athlete-inspired calming ritual to keep her cool. Kaguya doesn't like to show her true feelings too easily, but her amorous feelings are so strong, she is sure to erupt like a volcano soon unless she can find a be-all, end-all way to finally win the love war. She also acquired a smartphone, allowing her to join the student council's photo-sharing group and make new memories. Kaguya is more sentimental and sociable than ever, and she's not about to give up this hard-won progress.

Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3

Yu Ishigami made serious strides as a supporting character in Kaguya-Sama, and while he is still a quiet and self-absorbed boy who tends to avoid conflict, he took on a slightly more active role in Season 2. Yu really came to life with his on-screen chemistry with Miko Iino, since they feud endlessly over discipline and rules concerning video games on campus. Yu also overcame his personal demons where Kyoko Otomo was concerned, allowing him to face the future with a clear head.

🍀What We Want To See In Kaguya-Sama Season 3:

The love war between Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane drives the story, but it can't be stretched out forever. With any luck, Season 3 will either resolve the love war one way or another, or at least set up the final confrontation at the end, and give Season 4 the job of settling the war and exploring the aftermath. In any case, Season 3 will hopefully make substantial progress in the amorous feud with the end in mind, and provide a serious payoff for all of Kaguya's and Miyuki's efforts thus far. These two characters should also spend Season 3 with bigger and bolder gestures of love than ever, and use the best weapons in the respective arsenals to reach for victory.

Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3

Season 3 could also dive even deeper into the supporting characters and their goals and interests too, given the progress made in Season 2. For example, Ai Hayasaka was deepened when her crush on Miyuki was made clear, and no doubt Ai will grapple with these strong but forbidden feelings in Season 3, potentially bringing her into conflict with her mistress, Kaguya. Similarly, Yu Ishigami and Miko Iino just might experience an "opposites attract" situation and grapple with what they would consider forbidden feelings of their own. If either or both of them finds love, this could flesh out their characters a great deal, and show how they handle an unfamiliar challenge like that.

Kaguya-Sama: Everything We Want From Season 3
The main love feud should take center stage, but it's time for Ai, Yu, and Miko to begin their own love wars, and get a taste of what Kaguya and Miyuki are feeling every day. Chika is an exception -- as an agent of chaos, she must remain free and detached, and sow discord everywhere she goes. It's worked well for her so far, at least.
