In the weekend of May 2-4, the final weekend of Japan's Golden Weekend holiday period, the 28th Detective Conan/Case Closed anime feature film earned 1.422 billion yen (9.9 million USD) on 969,000 admissions, down just 15% from last weekend . The film's 19-day total gross by May 6 (a substitute holiday in Japan) had reached 10.4 billion yen (72.34 million USD) on 7.26 million admissions, making it the third consecutive film in the Conan franchise that has surpassed the 10 billion yen mark at the Japanese box office, following the 26th film Black Iron Submarine in 2023 and the 27th film The Million-dollar Pentagram in 2024.
