Rascal the Raccoon Anime Spin-Off Araiguma Calcaldan Premieres in April 2025

Furry friends are out, furry colleagues are in. The previously announced Rascal the Raccoon anime spin-off, titled Araiguma Calcaldan , today revealed an April 2025 release date and a new key visual, along with character and story details that tease a zany workplace comedy. Araiguma Calcaldan Key Visual Araiguma Calcaldan Characters The series' main cast is as follows (from left to right, above): Comical voiced by Yohei Azakami Subcal (a play on the word for 'subculture') voiced by Kensho Ono Acacal voiced by Junya Enoki Logical voiced by Taku Yashiro Middle voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda RELATED: Rascal the Raccoon Anime Gets New Spin-Off Series in 2025 Henry Hirakawa directs Araiguma Calcal-dan at studio Nippon Animation, which produced the original 1977 Rascal the Raccoon anime based on the 1963 book by Sterling North, with character designs by Ayano Yoshioka ( Let's Make a Mug Too ), sound direction by Kisuke Koizumi and music by Alisa Okehazama ( JUJUTSU KAISEN ). The story is set around five employees working hard in the lesser Tama branch of a secret society aiming for world domination called the Calcal Group: an aspirational new recruit, a polite but self-conscious superior, a modern guy with a cold attitude to everything, a hotheaded but kind senior employee and a handsome older man leading the pack.
