WIND BREAKER Manga Speeds Up to Monthly English Print Volume Releases
It's almost time to start burning through those WIND BREAKER volumes a little faster. Kodansha USA announced plans to accelerate print publication of Satoru Nii's manga in English, with a monthly schedule kicking off with the release of volume 10 this July. Ahead of that, volume 9 touches down on February 4. Following July's launch of volume 10, one WIND BREAKER volume will launch every month. RELATED: WIND BREAKER Season 2 Anime Premieres in April 2025 Satoru Nii first launched the manga via Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app in January 2021, with an English release following in 2022. 17 volumes are available digitally and 8 are available in print. The anime adaptation premiered in April 2024, and season 2 was previously confirmed for an April 2025 premiere. Toshifumi Akai ( Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia ) directs the WIND BREAKER anime at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko ( Chainsaw Man ), character designs by Taishi Kawakami and music by Ryo Takahashi ( SK8 the Infinity ). Crunchyroll streams the first season in a range of subs and dubs, describing the story like so: Welcome to Furin High School, an institution infamous for its population of brawny brutes who solve every conflict with a show of strength. Some of the students even formed a group, Bofurin, which protects the town.
