 One Piece Creator Eiichiro Oda Draws Cover for GLAY's Greatest Hits Album
As One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has continued to work with Japanese rock band GLAY for art and design with the band's 30th anniversary, the collaboration goes even further today with both a new set of album covers drawn by Oda and a music video using his character designs for the band. First, check out the music video for "BRIGHTEN UP": a CG-animated video based on Oda's artwork from the band's 30th anniversary key visual. The song was first released in October 2024 on GLAY's 17th album, Back to the Pops : RELATED: One Piece Live-Action Series Reveals Dragon Actor and More for Season 2 The album covers designed by Oda will be used for an upcoming "Best of" collection: As for what songs will be included in this collection... well, that's up to you! Voting is now open for fans' favorite songs, divided up by release date: 1994-2009 and 2010 and onward. Voting will close on January 31. No release date has yet been set for the new album. GLAY has previously recorded songs for anime series, including the first opening and ending theme to the 1994 TV anime Yamato Takeru , the first two opening and endings of Ace of the Diamond act II, Grendizer U and others.
