World Cosplay Summit 2025 Officially Set for August 1-3 in Nagoya

The World Cosplay Summit Executive Committee announced on December 4 that "World Cosplay Summit 2025" is officially set to open from August 1 to 3, 2025 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. On August 1, a pre-event festival including a red carpet ceremony will be held at Oasis 21 in Nagoya City, followed by cosplay events in various locations in the city on August 2 and 3. On the final day, August 3, the “World Cosplay Championship” will be held to determine the world's best cosplayers at the Aichi Arts Center. Next year's event will bring together cosplayers representing 42 countries and regions, with five new participating countries added since last year. This will be the highest number of participants ever, surpassing the number in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic. The preliminary rounds were already held in various countries and regions, and the national teams for next year have been selected one after another.
