Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 9 Recap, “Thieves”

Seriously, major spoilers ahead! 4 Star Experience With Goku asleep and Panzy bored, Glorio and Shin decide to take a break from flying for the night and find a place to camp. To prevent them from being noticed (Goku has racked up quite the reputation during his brief stay in the Demon Realm), Panzy puts a pink bear hat on his head. To be even more inconspicuous when they land, they have Goku stow away his power pole on the plane and they shove the Dragon Ball in a bag. Sadly, seeing as the bag is now round and Dragon Ball-shaped, it’s a poor hiding place. RELATED: Dragon Ball Watch Order & Sagas List Glorio senses trouble so he requests that they all stay in the same room together. Not that it helps much because Goku’s head itches and he promptly takes his hat off. Some rough-looking creatures notice Goku’s spiky hair and recognize him as the kid who beat the Tamagami. And in the bag, they notice the Dragon Ball. Panzy demands that the stinky Goku take a bath and since he didn’t bring any new clothes, she offers him some of hers. While Goku gets all cleaned up, Glorio orders a copious amount of room service. The little Saiyan chows down. Everybody's Getting Robbed A werewolf-like monster causes a ruckus in the hotel lobby, but it’s all a ploy to distract Goku and the gang while another creature flies in to steal the Dragon Ball! Goku flies out the window to try and find the culprit and Panzy offers to take the lead. She put a tracker on the Dragon Ball earlier, so the crooks have little time to gloat over their prize. Goku calmly asks for it back, and when they refuse, Goku has to play a sort of Dragon Ball keepaway. He tries to catch it as they throw it back and forth, and when he does, Glorio finishes off the thieves with a magical electrical whip. For a job well done Glorio offers Panzy a most honorable fist bump. But he falls asleep anyway (though, luckily, no one seems to have tried to steal from them again). Meanwhile, Hybis, Vegeta, Piccolo and Bulma discover that they’ve also been the victims of a theft because someone stole their plane! Hybis guesses that it was the dudes that Vegeta beat up the night before (some jerks had tried to start trouble with him at a Demon World restaurant and Vegeta beat them all unconscious). All they can do now is wait until Panzy and the rest come to pick them up. While they sit around, Hybis offers to play the Zombie Game with them. The rules are simple, whoever kills the most zombies wins. If you get bitten and turn into a zombie, you get disqualified. Bulma and the rest refuse, obviously. Majin… KUU?!? Degesu reports to Gomah that Goku and the other warriors he turned small are in the Demon World seeking the Dragon Balls. Gomah laughs it off at first… until he learns that a Tamagami has already been beaten and one of the Dragon Balls has already been acquired. He’s probably gonna be even more angry when he learns that Goku and Vegeta’s groups have finally reunited. Vegeta and Goku immediately start to argue, of course, but Bulma and Panzy seem to get along just fine. Well, they were reunited. RELATED: Dragon Ball Villains Are Best When They're Just Goofy Guys Turns out Vegeta’s crew can’t fit on Goku’s plane, so they’re tasked with hanging out a bit longer until they can get a replacement. It won’t be a calm wait, though. The Majin that Vegeta beat up have returned for revenge and they’ve brought back up. Vegeta, still angry over the plane thing and the Goku thing and the Goku/plane thing, blows off some steam by demolishing these goons. The Majin, beaten up once again, reveal where they hid Vegeta’s plane. Those guys were easy pickings, but what’s coming next won’t be. Arinsu and Marba’s formula is working and, from the steaming ooze, produces Majin Kuu! Arinsu tells her new warrior to defeat Tamagami Number One and take the Dragon Ball. Go big or go home, ya know?
