Otherworldly Munchkin: Let's Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP! Fantasy Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation

A release date was not announced at the time of reporting. The TV anime's official X (formerly Twitter) also opened today with a teaser visual. Mamoru Yokota , who is now serving as the animation supervisor for the fall 2024 TV anime Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc , is attathced to direct. The manga's illustrator Makoto Aogiri has posted a celebratory illustration on the anime's official X . Aogiri said, "I had always dreamed that it would be wonderful if Otherworldly Munchkin become an anime. I was so surprised to hear from the editor of the manga that it had been decided to make an anime, and I still clearly remember the exchange that day when I repeatedly said 'For real?' I can't stop getting excited just imagining how Yukito and his mates will move, talk with each other and go forward in the scenes that I have depicted in the manga! There will be a lot of new information to be announced in the future, and I hope to enjoy the anime together with you all!" The original manga has been serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius manga magazine's' "Suiyoubi no Sirius" ("Wednesday's Sirius") webpage on Nico Nico Seiga, and its latest 11th tankobon volume is set to release in Japan on November 8, 2024. Kodansha USA, which has published the manga's English edition , describes the synopsis: 16-year-old Yukito Kirihara lives with his 14-year-old sister Sana, who he treasures more than anyone else. But when an ogre shows up outside of his window looking for Sana (a shocking event in its own right), Yukito leaps to save her—and is killed. He’s offered the promise of reincarnation by a mysterious woman, who gives him a character sheet in a mysterious book.
