Japan Box Office: Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK Compilation Film Ranks No.2 in 2nd Weekend

After debuting in first place last weekend , Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK , a compilation film of the two-part Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS anime episodes, earned 179 million yen (1.16 million USD) on 125,000 admissions, ranking second in its second weekend at the Japanese box office, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . The film's cumulative total gross has reached 500 million yen (3.24 million USD) earned from 380,000 ticket sales. It has already surpassed the total gross of the anime franchise's first compilation film, Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow , which made 400 million yen (2.6 million USD) in 2014 (according to the Kinema Junpo magazine's yearly box office report). Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK is scheduled to end its three-week limited theatrical run in Japan on November 28. In celebration of the film's box office success, the anime franchise's official X (formerly Twitter) is now streaming a video from the main voice cast members — Yuki Kaji , Yui Ishikawa , Marina Inoue — and director Yuichiro Hayashi . The live-action film adaptation of Yui Tamura's Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi ("Mr. Yano's Ordinary Days") opened in 339 theaters across Japan, making its fifth-place debut. The film ranked seventh in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 3.53/5.0 based on 159 reviews. Fuuto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shozo ("FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull"), a new feature film in the FUUTO PI anime series, did not appear in the weekend box office Top 10 in its second weekend run. Also, the live-action film adaptation of Momoko Koda's Atashino! shojo manga series dropped out of the Top 10 in its second weekend.
