OxT Shares OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom Anime Movie Theme Song Music Video

OxT (pronounced O-Ku-To), a two-member digital rock unit consisting of vocalist Masayoshi Oishi and guitarist/composer Tom-H@ck , released their new digital single song "WHEELER-DEALER" and simultaneously posted the song's music video on their official YouTube channel on September 20. The song is now featured as the theme song for OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom , an-all new film from the OVERLORD anime franchise, also opened in Japan on the same day. The unit has performed all of the opening theme songs for the OVERLORD TV anime series, which has aired for four seasons since 2015. The video depicts the story of a demon's domination over a young girl, and features the eerie movements of demons and intense dance performance of women dressed in white. The film will be screened in theaters in both Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English. Directed by Naoyuki Ito at studio MADHOUSE, OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom features character design and chief animation direction by Satoshi Tasaki, illustration by so-bin and music by Shuji Katayama (Team-MAX). Crunchyroll streams all four seasons of the OVERLORD anime, based on the light novels by Kugane Maruyama. It describes OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom as: After twelve years of playing his favorite MMORPG game, Momonga logs in for the last time only to find himself transported into its world playing it indefinitely. Throughout his adventures, his avatar ascends to the title of Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown. Once prosperous but now on the brink of ruin, The Sacred Kingdom enjoyed years of peace after construction of an enormous wall protecting them from neighboring invasions. But, one day this comes to an end when the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth arrives with an army of villainous demi-humans. Fearing invasion of their own lands, the neighboring territory of the Slane Theocracy is forced to beg their enemies at the Sorcerer Kingdom for help.
