The official website for the Ashura anime series released a teaser trailer today for its upcoming second season. The new clip announces the next season is set to premiere in Japan in January 2025. The site also revealed three new voice cast members who will join for Seson 2. The anime's official X (formerly Twitter) is streaming short clips to introduce their character voices. Of the three, only Kuuro's voice is also revealed in the teaser trailer above. Kaishin no Kuuro ("Kuuro the Cautious") voiced by Mariya Ise (Killua Zoldyck in Hunter × Hunter ) A dwarf who used to be an assassin for the intelligence guild “Obsidian Eyes”. He is currently cooperating with Aureatia. He has the ability to perceive everything with his “Heavenly Eyes,” and his accuracy has “reached” the realm of predicting the future. Now, his power is waning. Mayoi no Cuneigh ("Cuneigh the Wanderer") voiced by Miku Ito (Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets ) A homunculus with wings who works with Kuuro. She is small enough to fit into Kuuro's coat and has an innocent personality. She trusts Kuuro from the bottom of her heart and supports him in his work as a scout and observer. Chiheihou Mele ("Mele the Horizon's Roar") voiced by Rikiya Koyama (Klaus Von Reinherz in Blood Blockade Battlefront ) A gigant living on the outskirts of Sine Riverstead, he is a beloved guardian deity of the village. At first glance, he appears to be lazy and blunt, but his shooting ability is astonishing, and he shoots arrows with such precision that they can change the terrain from the far horizon. RELATED : Ishura Anime Announces Season 2 in Production The original Ishura light novels written by Keiso and later illustrated by Kureta are published in Japan by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint. An English language version of the series is also available from Yen Press. Takeo Takahashi and Yuki Ogawa directed the TV anime at animation studios Passione and Sanzigen. The first season of the anime aired for 12 episodes from January to March 2024, and streamed in global markets on Disney+ (and Hulu in the United States). Yen Press describes the story of Ishura: In a world where the Demon King has died, a host of demigods capable of felling him have inherited the world.
