The Colors Within Anime Film Releases Special Theme Song Video

Naoko Yamada's upcoming anime movie The Colors Within , featuring animation production by Science SARU, released a special video today showcasing the official theme song for the film , “in the pocket”, performed by Mr.Children. RELATED: The Colors Within Director Naoko Yamada on Blending Sound and Color in Her Latest Movie Naoko Yamada ( K-ON! , A Silent Voice ) helms The Colors Within as director and original creator at studio Science SARU, with a script by Reiko Yoshida ( Liz and the Blue Bird ), soundtrack by Kensuke Ushio ( The Heike Story ) and DaisukeRichard's original character designs adapted for animation by Takashi Kojima ( Ride Your Wave ), who also serves as animation director. The film will open in Japan on August 30, 2024. The worldwide theatrical release includes GKIDS releasing the movie in North America, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, with Anime Ltd. releasing the film in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe. PLAION PICTURES will release the movie in Italian and German-speaking territories. GKIDS describes The Colors Within : Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colors’ of others. Colors of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a color she treasures as her favorite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful color of all. Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true ‘colors’?
