Lockdown Zone: Level X Webtoon Gets Light Anime Series

Japanese web manga, webtoon and novel company Taskey revealed today that one of their webtoon series, Lockdown Zone: Level X written by Oishi Romy (also known as Dr.peep) and illustrated by meshe, will be getting a “light anime” series this September. A teaser trailer, visual, lead cast and staff were revealed for the third project in the Animation ID venture. Lockdown Zone: Level X Teaser Trailer and Visual The leads Ryoka Tsurumi and Shuhei Murosaka will be voiced by Sora Amamiya (Chizuru Ichinose in Rent-A-Girlfriend ) and Ryota Osaka (Gyutaro in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ) respectively. Tsurumi’s mother is voiced by Mirei Kumagai (Sharon in SPY x FAMILY ) and Murosaka’s father is voiced by Yoshiyuki Shimozuma (Voss in BEASTARS ). Lockdown Zone: Level X is directed by Hikaru Sato ( 100 Girlfriends ) at Imagica Infos and Imageworks Studio, with Yuichi Imaizumi directing the sound, Hiroki Nozaki and Airi Kobayashi doing the sound effects and kidlit composing the music. The series is set to premiere on September 6 on CBC TV in Japan.  RELATED: Moriarty's Perfect Crime Novel and Webtoon to Be Adapted into Light Anime The series is part of the "Animation ID" Project from Dai Nippon Printing, which uses a new process of animation production called “light anime” that reduces “time and cost required for animation production” compared to traditional production processes to bring more anime promptly in “response to consumer needs.” Lockdown Zone: Level X is the third series part of this project after Moriarty's Perfect Crime and Marui Kanojo to Zannen na Kareshi . The manga version of Lockdown Zone: Level X is released on the peep online service in Japan with DENPA releasing the series in English chapter by chapter , describing the series as such: Ryoka is awakened by flurry of text messages from her mother! Panicked and rushed, Mom is clearly concerned for Ryoka's safety, but she is not to keen on letting her daughter know why.  Her reasoning being that nothing could really properly describe what is happening!
