LiSA Releases New Music Video "Brainwashing"

The official YouTube channel for anisong musician LiSA began streaming a music video for "Brainwashing" ( Sennou in Japanese), a coupling song of her 22nd single "Black Box" released on August 21. The video begins with LiSA washing a brain in a laundromat, working into the literal meaning of the song title. "This song is impressive with the repeated chorus phrase, 'Break it down' and 'Wash it away,'" said LiSA. "The music and the live concerts are truly 'brainwashing!' May you who come here greet today with a renewed spirit." LiSA "Brainwashing" Music Video Singer-songwriter Tatsuya Kitani , known for his theme song works for Bleach and JUJUTSU KAISEN , provided the lyrics and music for "Brainwashing." Kitani produced it as an alternative rock song with an impressive bass line, where he is also active as a bassist. "I had the opportunity to see LiSA's live concert twice, one as a joint event and another as her solo concert. I wrote the song 'Brainwashing' based on those experiences," said Kitani. "I was thinking about what is happening at a live concert venue, and what is the meaning of the definite change between myself just before the show started and myself on the way back home. A nice riff came to me as I was playing my bass while thinking about such things. When this song is played live someday, I hope it will be an experience that will overturn the very foundation of your life as you witness it."
