Full Moon wo Sagashite, Time of Eve and More New Anime Releases Announced from AnimEigo
AnimEigo hosted its "Rebirth of AnimEigo" panel at Otakon 2024 today, and announced a new slate of classic anime added to the company's catalog, including Full Moon wo Sagashite , Bubblegum Crash, Time of Eve and more. Announcements made at the panel are in alphabetical order. Bubblegum Crash : The Bubblegum Crisis sequel will receive an HD remaster via AstroRes, with all three episodes coming to Blu-ray and VOD in January 2025. Episodes one and three will feature the AstroRes update, with episode two featuring a new film scan. Full Moon wo Sagashite : 52-episode release of the 2002 anime series, remastered in HD for a Blu-ray release scheduled for 2025. AnimEigo describes the series: Based on Arina Tanemura’s classic shoujo manga. 12-year-old Mitsuki wants to be a singer. Unfortunately, she has cancer, and can’t sing above a whisper. One day, two “death gods” appear and inform her she only has one year left to live. So, in order to make her dream come true, they’ll transform her… into a real idol singer. Originally released by Viz Media, but abandoned before it was complete, Full Moon wo Sagashite is a beloved classic that has never gotten a complete English release until now. Time of Eve : Complete series collection featuring the movie and original ONA scheduled for released in December 2024 on Blu-ray and VOD. The film will be available in dub and sub, with the episodic version available with subs. AnimEigo describes the series: An auteur work by writer/director Yasuhiro Yoshiura. In the near future, humanoid robots are everywhere, and every home has one as a servant. One day, two teen boys discover an unmarked coffee shop, with only one rule: no discrimination between humans and androids. With their heads-up displays switched off, it turns out nobody can actually tell the difference! A critical darling that speaks directly to prejudice and political extremism, this film has only gotten more timely since its release in 2010. Includes the English dub by NYAV Post. Additionally, the panel detailed a new Kickstarter project for Dagger of Kamui , scheduled to begin in mid to late August. Source : Press Release, AnimEigo X (formerly Twitter) account
