Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Novel Series Reaches 5 Million Copies in Print
Japanese publisher Kadokawa announced on August 16 that SunSunSun's romantic comedy light novel series Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian has reached accumulative of five million copies in print. The print edition of the novel series is published from Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko light novel imprint since February 2021, releasing nine volumes (eight volumes of the main series and one short-story collection) to date. This is the first time that a romantic comedy series has printed more than five million copies in the 35-year history of the imprint, which launched in 1989. The novel's TV anime adaptation premiered in Japan in July 2024. When the release of the anime's Blu-ray first volume was announced, the total circulation of the series was reportedly 2.6 million copies according to Kadokawa STORE .
