A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized is returning for a second season, with the Japanese dub of the Chinese-produced animated series returning to TV in Japan this October. A new trailer for the upcoming second season reintroduces Ravendia and Reiko, as well as bringing in two new characters: masked members of an organization known as Black Blood. Their leader is played by Takuma Nagatsuka (Koji Koda in My Hero Academia ), with Momo Sakurai of idol group ≠ME appearing as another member of the group. The original net animation is directed by Siwen Liu and features animation production by LAN STUDIO, and it previously streamed in China on bilibili. The Japanese language version of A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized will broadcast its second season in Japan on AT-X and TOKYO MX beginning in October 2024.
