Rooster Fighter Anime Officially Announced

VIZ Media announced at its San Diego Comic-Con industry panel today that an anime adaption of the Rooster Fighter manga by Shu Sakuratani is officially in production. While a release date was not announced, the series will air on Adult Swim when it premieres with "further streaming platforms will be announced across all territories soon," according to VIZ on their blog . A celebratory illustration from Sakuratani was also released on their X (formerly Twitter) account). Daisuke Suzuki will direct the series at animation studio Sanzigen. Hiroshi Seko will also provide the series composition. The manga by Sakuratani began in December 2020 on Hero Inc.'s Comiplex manga website, with seven volumes released in Japan to date.
