The characters of Blue Exorcist have grown and changed over the years, arguably none more so than Shiemi Moriyama. This shy healer has become one of the series's strongest members. Based on the manga by Kazue Kato, the most recent season of the Blue Exorcist anime was Blue Exorcist -Shimane Illuminati Saga- . Daisuke Yoshida ( Hunter x Hunter animation director) directed the season at Studio VOLN, with Toshiya Ono ( 86 EIGHTY-SIX ) on series composition and Yurie Ohigashi ( APPARE-RANMAN! ) on character designs. All three seasons, including the original 2011 series and Kyoto Saga sequel produced by A-1 Pictures, are currently streaming on Crunchyroll .
