Voice Actor Idol Unit i☆Ris to Release Documentary Film in September 2024

The five-member voice actress idol unit i☆Ris' first documentary film, titled Live & Documentary Movie ~i☆Ris on STAGE~ , is scheduled to debut in Japan in September 2024. It will be the final phase of their 10th anniversary project launched in 2022. The film's official website has opened, releasing a teaser trailer and a poster visual. The tagline for the poster reads: "We live our lives as idols." The unit was originally formed by the six winners of the 1st Anison Vocal Audition held by avex and 81 Produce in August 2012, then released their first single "Color" on November 7 of the year. After one of its founding members, Azuki Shibuya left the unit in the end of March 2021 in order to pursue her own solo career, they have been working as a five-member unit consisting of Himika Akaneya, Yu Serizawa, Miyu Kubota, Saki Yamakita, and Yuki Wakai. Following the anime feature film i☆Ris the Movie – Full Energy!! - released in May 2024, Live & Documentary Movie ~i☆Ris on STAGE~ will be produced as their first live-action feature film. The film includes rare, never-before-told interviews with each member about their struggles, setbacks, and passion for live performances, as well as their legendary live performance footage that have been shared with their fans. Additionally, their 12th anniversary live concert is set to be held at PIAA Arena MM in Kanagawa Prefecture on November 4, 2024. Ticket pre-sale for fan club members will be accepted from June 16, 2024 at 21:30 to June 30, 2024 at 23:59 (JST). With a capacity of 12,000, the concert hall is the largest venue in their career.
