SPY x FAMILY Season 3 TV Anime Officially Announced

During the SPY x FAMILY Anime Extra Mission event in Japan today, the series' official accounts announced that SPY x FAMILY Season 3 is now officially in production with a TV anime. A new "super teaser visual" featuring Anya and Bond drawn by series character designer Kazuaki Shimada was released. No details such as release date, additional staff nor cast was announced at the time of reporting. Tatsuya Endo began serialization of the original SPY x FAMILY manga in Shonen Jump+ in March 2019, with 13 volumes released in Japan to date. VIZ Media releases the English version of the manga. The first season of the SPY x FAMILY TV anime premiered between April and then October 2022, with the second season premiering in October 2023. Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed Season 1 at both CloverWorks and WIT Studio, with Takahiro Harada joining on for directing duties on Season 2. Takashi Katagiri directed the latest anime movie SPY x FAMILY CODE: White at WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, with the original story by manga author Tatsuya Endo and screenplay by Ichiro Okouchi. The film released in Japan on December 22, 2023, with Crunchyroll releasing the film worldwide in April. Crunchyroll streams both seasons of the SPY x FAMILY TV anime in both sub and dub format, and describes the series: World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician.
