Japan Box Office: Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram Surpasses 15 Billion Yen
In its 11th weekend, Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram , the 27th feature film in the Case Closed/Detective Conan anime franchise, earned 116 million yen (726,476 USD) on 82,000 admissions, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . The movie ranked fourth in the Japanese box office weekend, down two places from last week . Meanwhile, the Detective Conan anime film series' official Twitter confirmed that The Million-dollar Pentagram has earned a cumulative 15.05 billion yen (94.25 million USD) on 10.52 million admissions since its release on April 12. The movie has become the 10th Japanese film to reach the 15 billion yen mark and the 15th highest-grossing film of all-time ever released in Japan, surpassing Makoto Shinkai's 2022 film Suzume with 14.94 billion yen (93.57 million USD). To commemorate the film reaching 15 billion yen at Japanese box office, a newly drawn illustration by Gosho Aoyama , the original author of the Detective Conan manga series, was released on Twitter .
