Senpai is an Otokonoko Anime Reveals New Key Visual, Premiere Date
The official website and accounts for the upcoming Senpai is an Otokonoko anime today revealed a new key visual and a July 4 at 24:55 JST (effectively July 5 at 0:55) premiere for Japanese television, along with details about the rom-com series' theme songs. Kujira will perform both the opening and ending themes, which are titled "Wagamama" and "Are ga Koi datta no kana", respectively. Key Visual RELATED: Senpai is an Otokonoko Anime Releases New First Trailer Based on the manga by Pom, Shinsuke Yanagi ( Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki ) directs Senpai is an Otokonoko at studio project No.9, with series composition by Yoriko Tomita ( My Dress-Up Darling ), character designs by Shoto Shinkai and music by Yukari Hashimoto ( A Sign of Affection ). The series also stars Shuichiro Umeda, Akira Sekine and Yuma Uchida. The original Senpai is an Otokonoko manga by pom ran from December 2019 to 2021, and was published in digital format in Japan by LINE and in print format by Ichijinsha. Seven physical volumes are released in Japan to date, with volume eight scheduled to release on April 1, 2024. An English language version is also available via WEBTOON. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan and describes the story: Can true love really overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto. Taken aback, Makoto reveals his secret, but the sudden discovery doesn’t seem to bother Saki who is already head over heels for him. After being rejected, Saki asks Ryuji, Makoto’s childhood friend, for some advice on how to win his heart.
