Urusei Yatsura Anime Collabs with JR Central for a Game of Train Tag

The rom-com antics of Rumiko Takahashi's classic series Urusei Yatsura began with a game of tag. And now, Lum and Ataru are at it again... but this time they're riding the rails as they play! Central Japan Railway Company is collaborating with the new adaptation of the classic manga to add a spark to your commute. Starting May 31, travelers can register on the collaboration's official website to listen to a new unfolding drama. In it, Lum (voiced by Sumire Uesaka) was meant to be joining Ataru (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya) on the train for a date. But he's made a run for it... and now she has to find him! For the second, the listener chooses to check in with one of three series characters to help in Lum's search. Get a hint from Ten (CV Aoi Yuki), Mendo (CV Mamoru Miyano), or Shinobu (CV Maaya Uchida). Travelers can choose one character per day to help them in their search. The epilogue will feature the return of Lum and Ataru, and will play at Animate stores along the train line. However, one member of the human race is chosen at random to duel the aliens and save the planet: Ataru Moroboshi, a lecherous slacker from Tomobiki High School who begrudgingly participates. All he has to do? Play a game of tag and catch Lum — the beautiful alien princess in a tiger-stripe bikini — by the horns. Unfortunately for Ataru, it’s not so simple, since Lum can fly and deliver electric shocks!
