Haruhi Suzumiya Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Special Collab Watch

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya , the first volume of Nagaru Tanigawa's Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series was published in Japan in June 2003. A concert, event, and other plans are being organized to celebrate its 20th anniversary, and as part of the celebration, a commemorative model wristwatch in collaboration with SEIKO will be released in September 2024. The limited edition model, priced at 55,000 yen (363 USD), will feature a design motif based on the coloring of the original novel's illustrations, including a large "H" icon on the dial. Pre-orders will be accepted on KADOKAWA STORE until May 31, and those who pre-order the item by April 30 will also receive a B2-size original tapestry featuring an illustration by the novel's original illustrator, Noizi Ito. A video showing the specs of the watch is now streamed on KADOKAWA's official anime YouTube channel . An actual sample of the watch will be on display for a limited time at the Aki KADO Showcase at JR Akihabara Station in Tokyo.
