Onmyoji 0 Live-Action Film Releases Full Trailer Featuring BUMP OF CHICKEN Theme Song

The official website for Onmyoji 0 , a new live-action film inspired by Baku Yumemakura's historical fantasy novel series Onmyoji , released a full trailer today featuring its theme song "Kaikou" ( Encounter ) performed by Japanese rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN. The film is set to release in Japan on April 19, 2024. The anime adaptation began streaming on Netflix worldwide in November 2023. The new film is set in Abe no Seimei's school days and tells an original story of how he became the most powerful sorcerer/Onmyoji. Kento Yamazaki, who has played lead roles in more than ten live-action films based on popular manga and light novel series, is cast as the protagonist, Abe no Seimei.
