Japan Box Office: Haikyu!! FINAL Anime Film 1st Part Repeats No.1 Place in 2nd Weekend

The first of the two-part anime film Haikyu!! FINAL earned 1.12 billion yen (7.43 million USD) on 781,000 admissions in its second weekend of February 23-25, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . The second-weekend gross was down 50 percent from its opening weekend but was still enough to keep the film in the number one spot for two consecutive weekends. The film's cumulative total revenue has reached 4.18 billion yen (27.75 million USD) on 2.9 million admissions in ten days since its release. THE FIRST SLAM DUNK , the recently successful sports-themed anime film released in 2022, earned 3.03 billion yen (20.01 million USD) in its first nine days, meaning the pace of the Haikyu!! movie's box office performance has been better. The live-action film adaptation of Golden Kamuy , based on Satoru Noda's adventure manga, was down two positions to sixth in its sixth weekend. Meanwhile, SPY x FAMILY CODE: White had reached its tenth weekend and still ranked seventh, the same as last weekend. The first part of the two-part new anime film from the given franchise — given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix — has stayed at #1 in Kogyo Tsushinsha's mini-theater ranking for five consecutive weekends since its release on January 27.
