Holostars' Goldbullet on Inner Peace and Spicy Ramen

Goldbullet just wants to be there for the boys, whether that means lending his talents as a professional sniper or hanging out and collaborating on cool new streams. Can you introduce yourself to Crunchyroll’s readers? Goldbullet: It’s a pleasure to meet you all! The name is Goldbullet, Big boy with the big gun! My brothers call me many nicknames! Goldie, Gibby, Gibblets and GB. I go by any of those great flavors! Congratulations on your debut! How did you prepare for your first stream? Goldbullet: I always make sure to prepare several days in advance before I decide on what I consider to be enjoyable! So, when it had come to my debut, I often rehearsed on my own, making sure that I was of sound mind and peace. Deep breathing is a practice I picked up on. It helps with being level-headed, and it helped me get rid of the heavy anxiety feeling around my chest! As scary as it was being in front of so many amazing individuals, I conquered that fear easily with the help of my deep breathing practices and the support of my fantastic team! What attracted you to the Vtuber world? What sort of things do you like to stream? Goldbullet: A Vtuber?! Is that a brand-new corruption beast destroying weapon I am not aware of? If so, let me purchase it! You see, I come from the “Badlands.” Elysium is a vast world with many different luxuries and forms of entertainment. Maybe I’ll have to ask somebody from either Xenokuni or Utopia about this… “Vtuber” profession. But at the very least, I do know what streaming is! I enjoy playing roguelikes, battle royales, FPS’s, horror games, and platform fighters just to name a few of my favorites! Describe your audition. What did you do when you found out you got in? Goldbullet: Well it’s a tad bit embarrassing I must admit, I cried like a baby! My eyes had always been studying the TEMPUS boys, seeing that team have so much fun with one another made me want to sharpen my sniping skills and join in on the action! As I auditioned to be apart of HOLOSTARS EN, I decided to do the thing I do best! I booted up Monster Hunter Rise and showed off how much of a capable hunter I am! Of course, anytime I wield my duel blades its hard not to flaunt a bit! Luckily for me, it was enough to earn me a spot here, and I couldn’t be more thankful! When I found out my audition was accepted and landed me within HOLOSTARS EN, I cried and cried and cried… it is truly a dream come true! It is my everything! How have things been going for you in the three months since your debut? Goldbullet: The last three months of being here in HOLOSTARS EN have been incredible and life changing. I'm so thankful to be with my Senpais and my Brothers in ARMIS! Do you have a message for the fans who have stuck with you so far? Goldbullet: My Bubbies are my world to me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. They teach me MANY MANY MANY THINGS! Whether you’re streaming or taking a day off, how do you start your mornings? Goldbullet: I start by waking up, staring at the ceiling, and gaging whether I need more sleep or if I should start the day! I won’t lie, I enjoy resting. If only I could find a way to get paid to sleep as often as I do, I would be making a great living! But if I’m up with energy, I decide on warming up a nice cup of green matcha latte, southwest bacon omelet, and with some lovely grape-drink to top it off! Afterwards, I go for a morning jog to wake up completely and head back home to hang out with the boys! Do you have any pre-streaming rituals or habits to prepare? Goldbullet: Quite often before I begin streaming, I like to take those extra moments to see if all my equipment is at the ready! I like to clean my desk, crack open a window, light a scented candle, wrap my favorite blanket around me and get things started! It’s important for me to be comfy and cozy! Streaming’s a lot of work! What snacks keep you energized? Goldbullet: Something spicy or hearty for sure! Like a cup of ramen with some red peppers into the mix. Maybe even some beef jerky! That kind of stuff keeps me going! What are you most excited about doing while streaming?  Goldbullet: I’m very excited to be able to stream games and perform bits with my ARMIS brothers, as well as the TEMPUS boys too! I think it would be fun to perhaps have an ARMIS vs. TEMPUS night! Now that would bring some great friendly competition! I also look forward to expanding our HOLOSTARS EN family too. We are so strong, and we’ll keep growing even stronger as one big handsome family! What top tips would you give to aspiring VTubers/streamers?  Goldbullet: Never give up, and always keep smiling through the hard times! There have been moments within my days as a bounty hunter that seemed like things were turning for the worse. But as I continued to follow my path, my strength and will grew as I set one foot in front of the other. There’s long stretches when it seems like there is no way to move forward. That’s when you focus on just not moving backward. What’s your relationship with anime like? What does anime mean to you? Goldbullet: Anime much like video games and manga for me go hand in hand! It’s another way for me to get lost in a world other than my own! Being able to invest my thoughts and time into something feels rewarding. Escapism has always been my favorite thing when it comes to watching anime. My brothers and I are always fighting corruption beasts and protecting our home turf! Forgetting about the hardships of our lives as bounty hunters is a much-welcomed change of pace. Anime, no matter what, always manages to have my back when I need it the most. And after a hard day’s work of slaying monsters? Your boy needs to kick up his combat boots and take it easy with some stories! And plus, once you add some snacks into the mix you have yourself a recipe for a fantastic night! What's your favorite anime of all time? Goldbullet: Such a difficult question! If I had to decide on only one, it would have to be My Hero Academia ! It is so motivating and inspiring. It evokes great writing that makes me hyped up! Watching young Midoriya start from the struggling life of a quirkless boy to somebody with a powerful quirk that matches All Might’s superior strength is seriously badass!
