Dragon Ball FighterZ Hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series With Rollback Netcode on February 29
Bandai Namco has revealed that rollback netcode will be implemented for Dragon Ball FighterZ on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 29, which is also when the latter two versions launch digitally. Rollback netcode is a technique that reduces input lag when playing against other opponents online. It predicts player inputs and executes them immediately, then corrects discrepancies later, creating a smoother gameplay experience. The feature is not compatible with some game modes, include Circle Party Match and Party Battle modes. They will utilize delay-based netcode instead. However, PC players have the option to toggle between rollback and delay-based netcodes. Those opting for rollback will not match with delay-based players. Source: Press Release
