Toho International announced today that Godzilla Minus One ’s North American box office has passed Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train to become the highest-grossing Japanese language film in the region at US$50.6 million. Despite this milestone, Godzilla Minus One still trails behind Pokémon: The First Movie for Japan-originated films – though Pokémon was only released in English and edited for international markets, Godzilla was not.
