10th Precure Series Dokidoki! Precure Gets A Sequel Novel in 2024
The official Twitter for the 20th anniversary project for Toei Animation's long-running Precure anime franchise announced today that a sequel novel to its 10th installment, Dokidoki! Precure , is set to publish from Kodansha's Kodansha Character Bunko imprint in 2024. Following the ninth installment Smile Precure! , Dokidoki! Precure aired in Japan for 49 episodes from February 2013 to January 2014. Details are unknown at this time, but the post introduces it "a completely new novel about what happens after the TV series." Ryota Yamaguchi, who was in charge of series composition for the original TV series, serves as the writer, and original character designer Akira Takahashi provides illustrations. The account has posted a newly-drawn illustration by Takahashi. In the visual, Regina is wearing the uniform of Oogai First Junior High School. She enrolled the school in the final 49th episode of the TV series, so the sequel story is expected to be set shortly after the TV series, or a few years later. RELATED: Dokidoki!
