The official website for Japanese singer-songwriter Yui Nishio announced that her new digital single "routine life" is set to release on January 10, 2024. As previously reported , the song will be featured as the opening theme for the forthcoming Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside Season 2 TV anime. Nishio previously provided the opening theme for the anime's first season in 2021, "Iki o Su Koko de Su Ikiteku." The press release describes "routine life" as "the perfect song for when you need to reset your mind and take a break from the hardships and difficulties of everyday life." "In the first season's 'Iki o Su Koko de Su Ikiteku,' I portrayed the slow life of Rit and Red. This second season's song features Ruti as the protagonist. I named the song 'routine life' to reflect the overlap between Ruti's second life and our own lives. I hope you will enjoy this song in your daily life along with the anime." After the digital release, "routine life" will also be included in her second major mini album "weekday" to release in Japan on March 6, 2024. The first season of the Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside TV anime aired for 13 episodes from October to December 2021. The much-awaited season season is set to premiere in Japan on January 7, 2024, and will also stream on Crunchyroll as part of the winter 2024 anime simulcast lineup.
