The official website for Japanese singer-songwriter Yui Nishio announced that her new digital single "routine life" is set to release on January 10, 2024. As previously reported , the song will be featured as the opening theme for the forthcoming Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside Season 2 TV anime. Nishio previously provided the opening theme for the anime's first season in 2021, "Iki o Su Koko de Su Ikiteku." The press release describes "routine life" as "the perfect song for when you need to reset your mind and take a break from the hardships and difficulties of everyday life."
