As expected following the previous cast announcement in November, The Blue Wolves of Mibu TV anime adaptation has announced its first cast announcement for the month of December, with Chiaki Kobayashi (Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku ) playing the role of Shinsengumi captain Hajime Saito. The manga from Tsuyoshi Yasuda ( DAYS ) began in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine starting in October 2021, releasing 10 tankobon volumes to date. The  English edition  is licensed by Kodansha USA, and its first volume is set to release on February 27, 2024.
