The 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-Sensei Anime Announces 2025 Premiere Date
During the stage event at Jump Festa 2024, TV Tokyo announced that the anime adaptation of 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei , a spin-off light novel to the Gintama franchise written by Tomohiko Osaki, is set for a premiere in 2025. The anime adaptation was revealed at the Gintama Ato no Matsuri 2023 event held in March 2023 as part of the franchise's 20th-anniversary celebration project. The spin-off novel features high school teacher Gintoki Sakata, who becomes the homeroom teacher of Class 3-Z of Gintama High School. The exhbition will be held at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in the winter of 2024. At the exhibition, the Gintama manga author Hideaki Sorachi's hand-drawn drafts will be shown, alongside photo spots, and original merchandise will be on sale. More details will be announced in fall 2024. The "Gintama 20th Anniversary All-Character Popularity Poll" will be held in conjunction with the exhibition with the top 20 characters newly drawn by Sorachi for the exhibition's key visual. The voting period is from December 17, 2023 to January 31, 2024. Voting is only available online, and votes can be cast once a day. The top 20 characters will be revealed by fall 2024.
