This weekends, fans of the musical, magical Pretty Series media mix project gathered for a winter live concert. In addition to witnessing performances from the franchise's idols and Primagista, attendees also got to see a video tracking the history of the series... and spilling the beans on next year's installment! The video starts with 2010 arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Miniskirt, guiding fans through the history of Pretty Rhythm, PriPara, Kiratto Pr☆Chan, and Waccha Primagi! Then, the door is opened on a new series for 2024. Check out the new trailer: RELATED: Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live Idol Anime Launches 10th Anniversary Project The sneak peek offers just a little to theorize about. We get silhouettes for our two new stars — one in pink and one in blue. We also get a vague sense of the aesthetic, given the wireframe door, the background, and what we can see of the new idols' bows. Fortunately, we won't have to wait for long for answers. More intel on the upcoming series is due to drop on January 26, and the anime itself will debut in April 2024. The idol-themed franchise was launched with its first arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Mini Skirt in July 2010. Then it expanded to the three Pretty Rhythm TV anime series from 2011 to 2014. After that, it was succeeded by the two Pripara series, Pripara and Idol Time Pripara from 2014 to 2018, Kiratto Pri☆Chan from 2018 to 2021, and Waccha Primagi! from 2021 to 2022.
